How to Reset or Restart Kindle?

How to Reset Kindle? 
You can reset Kindle if it freezes or crashes. Kindle 3 doesn't have keyboard reset. Here is how to reset Kindle:
Frozen Screen or Unresponsive Kindle.
Step 1. Unplug the Kindle.
Step 2. Move the power button to the right and release. You should see a green LED light for two seconds.
Step 3. Move the power button to the right and hold for five seconds. The green light should blink three times and then the screen will go blank. Release the power button after it does.
Step 4. Turn the device back on by sliding the power button to the right and releasing it.
If the previous steps are unsuccessful or if the Kindle screen is showing lines, Perform a hard reset.

Step 3. Hold for 15 seconds.
Step 4. Recharge the battery if the device continues to be unresponsive.
Step 5. Restart the Kindle after charging.
How to Restart Kindle?
Step 1. Familiarize yourself with the machine. Amazon.com offers Kindle owners an online diagram with labeled parts to better understand the machine's important buttons and functions.
Step 2. Disconnect the Kindle from its power source. Kindle reading devices often are powered via a micro-USB cable plugged into the machine on one end and a wall power outlet on the other end. Pull out the micro-USB cord and hold the Kindle in your hands.
Step 3. Slide the power button to the right and hold. This button is located on top of the Kindle beside the headphone jack. Amazon.com's diagram shows the power button on the diagram labeled "Top View" here. Place one finger on the power button, slide it toward the right and hold it for 15 seconds.
